Teresa Tardiff
Executive Director
Teresa Rothe
Tardiff has been Executive Director of CASA for Children of San Luis Obispo
County since 2005, and on staff since 2002. She is an attorney, a graduate of UOP McGeorge School of Law, and has
undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Early Childhood Education. Before
becoming a staff member, Teresa was a CASA advocate for 8 children. Teresa is an active member of the local Blue
Ribbon Commission on foster care and Dependency Court Stakeholders. She served two years on the California CASA
legislative committee and was previously an elected member of the Avila Valley
Advisory Commission. In 2010 she was
honored to receive the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association’s John L. Seitz
Award for Community Service. Teresa is
also a recent graduate of San Luis Obispo Leadership Class XIX. “I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of
such a wonderful program that makes such a positive impact on the lives of
children in our community. Our volunteer
advocates are dedicated, caring people from all walks of life who share a
commitment to helping children.” |
Matthew Wild
President
Matthew grew up in Ohio, moving to Tucson, Arizona to attend the University of Arizona where he studied Accounting and Entrepreneurship. After working in Arizona several years and becoming a Certified Public Accountant there, he relocated to San Luis Obispo County in 2003 to join San Luis Sports Therapy where he serves as the Chief Executive Officer. While in Arizona, Matthew volunteered as a CASA for five years. |
Brian Clausen
Senior Vice President
Brian is the president of Shopatron, where he leads the company's global sales, marketing and client services teams. Brian was previously the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Web Associates, now Level Studios.
Brian also spent five years on the management team of Vigilance, a Bay Area-based software company and held senior consulting positions at Deloitte Consulting. He received a BA in Economics, with honors, and an MA in International Development Policy, both from Stanford University.
Brian spends his free time with his wife and three kids. |

Lindsay Waugh
Treasurer
Linsay is a native to San Luis Obispo County graduating from Atascadero High School. Lindsay attended Cuesta College and then graduated with her B.S. from San Diego State University, majoring in Finance. She has made a career with business banking at the community bank level in San Luis Obispo and currently works with American Perspective
Bank as a Relationship Manager. She's also graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School in 2007, a two-year graduate level-banking program hosted by the University of Washington.
Lindsay joined the CASA Board of Directors in 2007. She is also a member of the SLO Leadership Class XVII, a Chamber of Commerce community program. Along with traveling, spending time with family and friends, Lindsay dedicates her free time to enjoying the unique features San Luis Obispo County has to offer including its beautiful beaches and wineries. |
Alex Minicucci
Secretary
Alex Minicucci was born and raised on the Central Coast. He is
currently the CEO and Founder of SMS Masterminds, a cutting edge text
messaging software company.
Alex founded his first company at the age of 19, and since then has
been involved as the Director of Operations at ANG Newspapers in the
East Bay area of San Francisco, and as the COO at TechExpress in San
Luis Obispo.
In his free time, Alex likes to play golf, travel, and spend time with his two daughters. |

Hillary Trout
Immediate Past President
Hillary moved to San Luis Obispo in 1983 from Southern California and has been living the SLO life ever since. She received her business degree from Cal Poly and is currently an accountant for Longcrier & Associates. She was formerly Controller for a local technology company and has worked for various organizations including Tenet Healthcare and San Luis Obispo County Schools. Hillary also serves as Vice President for the Central Coast Software and Technology Association (SOFTEC) and as Treasurer for the San Luis Obispo Swim Club. |

Jesse Marino
Jesse is a Deputy District Attorney for San Luis Obispo County. He received his B.A.from U.C. Santa Barbara and law degree from the University of San Diego. His wife, Beth Marino, is a partner at the law firm of Andre, Morris & Buttery. They live in San Luis Obispo with their two sons.
Jesse joined the CASA Board of Directors in 2008. He also serves on the board of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association, where he was Board President in 2007. |

Roy Rawlings
Roy grew up in Kansas, receiving an engineering degree from the University of Kansas. He and his wife Linda, then moved to Washington D.C. where he completed his MBA at George Washington University. He then went on to serve in the USAF as a Captain from 1968 thru 1973. He retired from Southern California Gas and San Diego Gas and Electric Co. in 2004 as a Sr. VP overseeing all their gas and electric distribution operations.
He lives in Arroyo Grande on a small horse ranch with his wife Linda, who represents CASA before the Drug Dependency Court . He is on the Prado Day Homeless Shelter board as well as the Capital Campaign Steering Committee for building a new homeless center in SLO.

Chris Smith
Chris, a technology entrepreneur, relocated to San Luis Obispo with his family in 2008. He graduated from Wake Forest University, where he studied Economics and Computer Science. Chris has founded, launched, grown, and sold several technology companies. Most recently he was president and CEO of Visual Systems / CygNet Software. Chris is currently engaged with several early stage businesses, including both board and advisory roles.Together with his wife, Patty, Chris enjoys participating in child education and development activities within his local community.
